Based on article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the new data protection provisions of the Confederation (Data Protection Act, DPA), every person is entitled to the protection of their privacy as well as protection against misuse of their personal data. We comply with these provisions. Personal data is treated strictly confidential and is only passed on to third parties in accordance with these data protection provisions.

3. Principles
We collect, process, and use your personal data exclusively in compliance with the applicable Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG).
Personal data is all information that relates to a specific or identifiable person. This includes, in particular, your e-mail address, but also usage data, such as the information about the date the invitation was sent to you or the date of the survey response, insofar as these are or can be assigned to you as a person.

4. Data Collection
a. Cookies
Cookies are small (text) files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar).
Most browsers have functions with which you are informed about the setting of cookies and can allow cookies only in individual cases. It is also possible to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally as well as to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Cookies can also be deleted again. You can find information on this in the help function of your browser. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of the survey.
b. Website Statistics
The use of the website www.networking-for-jobs.ch is periodically analysed using the “Logaholic” programme provided by Hostpoint AG based on the usage data available on the server. The analyses relate to the number of visits, the geographical origin of the visitors, the content consulted, the number of downloads, and the browser programs used. No analyses are carried out at the level of individuals.
c. Server Log Files
Hostpoint AG, as our hosting provider, automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us when you call up the survey. These are:
– browser type and browser version
– operating system used
– referrer URL
– host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
– time of the server request
– name of the retrieved file
This data is stored in so-called server log files; separately from other data that you transmit in the course of your use of the survey, e.g.by entering it in a form. This data is not merged with other data sources. Your data will be used by us or by other providers to administer the website, to carry out statistical evaluations (e.g., about accesses), as well as to be able to recognise and ward off unauthorised accesses. We also reserve the right to check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of unlawful use.
5. The Basis for the Data Collection
Your personal data is processed on the basis of the applicable data protection regulations and on the basis of your visit of the website or a service demand.
We process your data, based on consent, only as long as you do not object or revoke your consent. Consent given can be revoked at any time, but this does not affect the data processing that has already taken place.
6. Storage Period of the Data
We process and store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations or other purposes pursued with the processing. This means that we process and store your data until the online surveys have been finally evaluated and beyond that in accordance with the statutory retention and documentation obligations. In this context, personal data may be retained for the time during which claims can be made against our organisation and insofar as we are otherwise legally obliged to do so (e.g., for evidence and documentation purposes). As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be deleted or anonymised as far as possible.
For technically related data (e.g., system logs, log files or parts thereof), shorter retention periods apply in principle. They are stored until the purpose of data storage no longer applies; you revoke your consent or request us to delete them. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
7. Data Security / TLS Encryption
We take appropriate technical and organisational security precautions to protect your personal data from unauthorised access and misuse. This survey uses TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. This means that the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.
8. Your Rights Under the DSG
You have the following rights in accordance with the DSG:
– Right to information
– Right of rectification
– Right to amend
– Right to block
– Right of deletion
– Right to object to the use of your data for advertising purposes
– Right to revoke your consent
The exercise of such rights usually requires that you prove your identity (e.g. by a copy of your identity card if your identity is otherwise not clear or cannot be verified). To assert your rights or for questions regarding data protection, please contact platform@networking-for-jobs.ch.
Every data subject also has the right to enforce his or her claims in court or to lodge a complaint with the responsible data protection authority. The responsible data protection authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (https://www.edoeb.admin.ch/edoeb/de/home.html).
9. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy at any time without prior notice. The current version published on our website shall apply.
